WORD PROBLEM
The purpose of word problem is to use mathematics skill from real situation all our activity. On video we are given trick to facilitate solving word problem. The trick is BUCK.
B = Box the question
U = Underline the information needed
C = Circle the vocabulary
K = Knock out un-needed information(POW)
The acronym of BUCK is to remember how to break down a word problem and make it  easier to solve the mathematics problem.  Using the quick system of BUCK is to SOS. The acronym of SOS is Simplify Organize Solve the problem.
The example word problem:
At a shop on Times Square three "I LOVE NY" t-shirt sell every 10 minutes for $ 19.95 each. Every 45 minutes one Yankee's hat sells for $24.95. The shop is open from 9 am until 9pm everyday. How many t-shirt are sold in a week?
Answer:
To answer this problem, we can use BUCK.
B = Box the question (How many t-shirt are sold in a week?)
U = Underline the information needed (three "I LOVE NY" t-shirt, 10 minutes, from 9 am  until 9pm everyday)
C = Circle the vocabulary(three, minutes, everyday, week)
K = Knock out un-needed information(POW)( $ 19.95, for $24.95.)
After we have inserted the info to acronym BUCK, we can solve the problem from the info:
60 minutes in an hour
12 hours from 9am to 9pm
12x60 = 720 minutes per day
A t-shirt sold every 10 minutes we will divide (720/10=72 per day)
7 days in a week (72x7=504)
So the shop sells 504 t-shirts per week

ACADEMIC VOCABULARY
To remind word problem there are some academic vocabulary to make the material easier. There are:
original cost
discount
measurement
·      minutes
·      hours
SOLVING MATH PROBLEM
To solve math problem you must find basic think of word problem by the fact given. You can find fact number on all context and the other fact.
Example 1:
A college student plans to spend $420 on books for one semester. He also plans to spend $20 per week on pizza. The fall semester is 18 weeks long. How much will he need for books and pizza?
Answer:
You must identify the fact number on all context, like  $420 on books for one semester, $20 per week on pizza and semester is 18 weeks long.
Find the price pizza at 18 weeks long = $20 x 18 =$160
   Price books for one semester      = $420 +
                                                                 =$ 780
So he will need  $ 780 for books and pizza.

Example 2:
A first number twice, second number is 23 .Twice the first number plus the second number is 31. Find the number!
Answer:
1st   = x
2nd =y
x+2y=23 ( subtract by -2y)
      x=23-2y ………..   (i)
  2x+y=31(substituted by (i))
    (23-2y)+y=31
      46-4y+y=31
        -3y+46=31(add by 3y and subtract by 31)
     15=3y(divided by 3)
       y=5
x=23-2y
  =23-2.5
  =23-10
  =13
To make convincing that our answer is true, you can be proved by substituting the result to the problem.
x+2y=13 + 10=23 (true)
2x+y=2.13+3=26+3=31 (true)
So the first number is 13 and the second number is 5.
TWO VARIABLE PROBLEM 2
Example:
The sum of two numbers is 16. The first number plus 2 more than 3 times the second equals 18. Find the number !
Answer:
1st =x
2nd =y
        x+y=16…...(i)
x+(3y+2)=18…..(ii)
From the equation we can substitution
x+3y=16…………………………. x+3y = 16
x+y=16 (multiply -1)………………. -x-y=-16
                                                               2y=0 (divided by 2)
                                                                y=0
           
To make convincing that our answer is true, you can be proved by  substituting the result to the problem.
 x+y =16+0=16 (true)
x+3y=16+0=16 (true)
So the first number is 16 and the second number is 0.

TRIGONOMETRY
Angles is two rays (terminal side and initial) and have 3600.
Vertex is the common end point of legs of the angle
When the angle is clockwise, it will have negative result, and when the angle is anticlockwise it will have positive result
 

INTEGERS
After we find the result of integers, you much better to check your answer from the question are given.
Example :
Twice the smallest of three consecutive odd integers is 7 more than the largest. Find the integers.
Answer:
1st  odd # =n
2nd odd # = n+2
3rd odd # = n+4
2n = n+4+7 (given), (subtract by -n)
n=11
So, the integers are 11, 13 and 15
