Etnomathematics in Our Life

    Ethnomathematics is learned knowledge about mathematics and culture. Ethnomathematics derived from the word "ethno, math, and tic". Ethno is a collection of culture such as language, ideology, or conclusions. Math is measuring, classifying, and making inferences. While the tic is the art or technique. So ethnomathematics can include activities count, measure, determine the location, building design, and cultural activities described of mathematics. Ethnomathematics discribe of Vygotsky theory  about constructivism and contextual. Ethnomathematics is introduced by Terecia Louis about street math. That is math related to cultural aspects such as the activities of calculating, measuring, designing, playing, shopping. Ethnomatematics discuss unity, a collection of ethnic, cultural heredity, code symbols, and myths and ideas of a culture collection. Ethnomatematics have been found long ago because every culture introduces a different ethnomathematic n same concept.

Here's an example of the practice of ethnomathematics in the Astronomical and calendar by the Mayans, they use their mathematical skills to  get several calendars most appropriate that we know .
